Since growing up in front of our eyes during the course
of this book, Michelle Spray  graduated from college, wrote and
published two more books; Life’s Reasons and My ABCs, got
married in 2005, had a daughter, Kaitlyn, in 2006, and a son,
Brendan, in 2008. She has several other books in the works
including one about Alzheimer’s and an adorable children’s book
about the rainbow that she is trying to find time to illustrate.

Michelle was sure she would write a sequel to Growing Up
with Scoliosis about her experiences with pregnancy after back
surgery, but her back felt great and “uneventful” meant she had
nothing to write about. So she is pleased to be able to tell everyone
about it now.

She credits pregnancy with how wonderful her back feels. It
seems that the extra weight has strengthened her back muscles and
lifting growing babies has added to the miracle of it all. Michelle
jokes that it’s a good thing that children start out small and gain
weight slowly because now she can lift her 30-pound toddler with
no problem at all. It often surprises her when she carries both
children at the same time and is not sore the next day.

Michelle is thankful and proud to announce that her book has helped thousands of scoliosis patients nationwide by word-of-mouth, doctors, schools, and libraries. She is excited to share her updated photos as an inspiration to scoliosis patients everywhere!
