About the Author

Michelle Spray began writing as soon as she was old enough to put
her thoughts to paper. She would keep herself busy for hours writing rhymes
and short stories, most often illustrating them for the full effect. Her love of
writing blossomed in third grade when Miss Ursini incorporated creative
writing into the curriculum.

Keeping a journal throughout grammar school and high school, Michelle
wrote whatever came to mind. Thoughts about life and growing up stirred many
emotions and became the catalyst for her first book, Growing Up with
Scoliosis (A Young Girl's Story).

Continuing her passion for writing, Michelle soon realized she had plenty of
poems and short stories
to be able to publish a collection and called it
Life’s Reasons. Many of the poems started with a melody and Michelle dreams that her lyrics will be discovered one day by Celine Dion and Josh Groban! Her friend Steven Michael Zack (aspiring singer/songwriter)
turned her poem
And Then That Day Goes By into a beautful song

. They're currently working on an ending to song #2 that is sure to stir your emotions!

Other works by Michelle Spray include: My ABCs (An ABC Book For Any Age) and  My ABCs on CD (a fun audio version of the book including songs).

Coming soon:
• How the Rainbow was Made: a story about how two angels discover the rainbow
Life’s Reasons, Too: a sequel to Life’s Reasons
• And a book in the works about
Alzheimer's

Michelle is a graphic designer, writer and singer but these days most loves being "Mommy."

About the Illustrator

Donna has always loved art, but in particular she’s enjoyed a talent for
illustration and photography.  Ever since childhood when she’d draw funny
little pictures for her family she’d always dreamed of a day when her artwork
would reach a greater audience.  Spending endless hours developing her style
and the quirky personalities behind her characters, her first experience
illustrating a professionally published book is with My ABCs.

Donna’s undergraduate studies were as an Art History major, honing her
knowledge around the facts of art while at the same time improving her skills
at photography.

Having completed her Masters in Communications and Graphic Design,
she’s very excited to have her first chance at illustrating a children’s book
and it’s accompanying cd.
